Doors Open at 5:30 PM - Forum Presentation 6 PM to 7:30 PM
The Forum is part of a three‑day, multi city cultural program that concludes with the Pachuco Ball, a celebratory event showcasing heritage and culture through music, fashion, and dance. Together, these events offer a structured platform for cultural education, community connection, and positive representation.
Over the past decade, shifts in national dialogue have contributed to declining cultural confidence among Latino, Mexican American, and Chicano youth. There is a demonstrated need for community‑based education that restores cultural identity, strengthens belonging, and promotes accurate historical understanding.
We believe that all cultures have historical elements that are both positive and challenging. These elements help define any one ethnicity and culture. We also believe that in sharing in challenging times, all people, regardless of ethnicity may benefit.  All are welcome, it's about people"

This is where our investment will have the greatest long term effect. Members of all communities and youth of all ethnicities need to be able to walk in confidence in who they are. It's not as much about the resources, time, and investment required to meet the challenge as it is about the cost of doing nothing at all... time to step up.
For the Pachuco Ball Project
We know the challenge because we've been here before.
History says that we've overcome this before, and through determination, encouragement, the thoughtful use of the great equalizer of education, and a proactive spirit of moving forward, we'll meet this challenge and do it again.
Over the past decade, there have been shifts in the national dialogue that have influenced how Latino, Mexican American, and Chicano communities are understood and represented. These dynamics have contributed to a decline in cultural confidence among many young people and mirror earlier periods when families faced social and educational pressures that served to limit the transmission of the Spanish language and cultural heritage over two generations.
The Calle Cultura Community Education Forum was developed, and is being offered free to the public, to address these long‑standing challenges through constructive, community‑based education. The initiative provides an accessible vehicle that highlights cultural history, strengthens identity, and supports a sense of belonging for youth and adults. Our approach centers on accurate historical understanding, cross‑cultural learning, and community engagement.
This is a free event. We are accepting sponsorhip and donation support for this effort. A sponsor and donor packet link is available below.
