Some of these organizations and their 2023 events and planned 2024 events are listed below and include 2023 event images and information as well as schedules for their planned 2024 outreach events. Please note that each organization may be supported by La Familia and others, but are independent and maintain their own sponsors and community partners for their events and areas.

The event will feature fun activities, food, beverages, and entertainment including Kamala the robot, Folklorico dancers, arts and crafts, face painting, photos with Santa and the Grinch. All kids must pre-register and be accompanied by a parent. We can accommodate 350 kids. Register by email at

The La Familia Ministries "Father's Heart - Rocky Ford" Christmas outreach is now entering it's 4th season of service to the families in the communities of Rocky Ford, La Junta, Manzanola, Las Animas, and Fowler in Southeastern Colorado's Arkansas Valley. Through the consideration afforded by the U.S. Marines Toys-For-Tots Pueblo organization, local community partners, donors, and the Rocky Ford Father's Heart team, the effort also feeds family agencies in the area.

2024 will also be year of partnering with the staff at the Aztlan Recreation Center for the"Toyz-4- Kidz" outreach in North Denver's Quigg Newton low income housing area. In addition, since 2018, La Familia has collaborated with New Hope In Christ Church of Denver by lending planning and coordination services for their "Spirit of Giving Colorado" annual family Christmas outreach.

2024 Father's Heart Outreach Project

From 2022 to 2023, we saw kids and family registrations for the Denver "Father's Heart - Nellie's Kids" Christmas outreach event double. We also saw new challenges in securing needed toys and materials. Nonetheless, the Lord is faithful and brought people and opportunities to address each situation as he worked through the U.S. Marines Toys-For-Tots and others to provide the toys and materials needed. When He calls you to it, He provides for it. Thank you Lord.

The Toyz-4-Kids Christmas outreach is a La Familia Ministries sponsored event and has been made possible by the U.S. Marines Toys-For-Tots donation of toys through ministry sponsorship support and local business in Northwest Denver. The effort is now in it's 3rd season of service to the families in the Quigg Newton Housing area. Each year the event has been held, family pre-registration's and attendance have been close to the capacity of the Aztlan Recreation Center.

Due to the increased family and community needs and challenges that we experienced in 2023, we expect a greater demand in 2024. Accordingly, we are increasing our registration cap to 250 we are seeking sponsorship and donation support as community needs increase and we continue to serve more families, and as we work to expand the effort to include winter clothing items for kids.

The event will feature snacks and a hot cocoa station, photos with Santa and the Grinch, and socks and toy distribution. Approximately 85 senior residents at the Pioneer Nursing Home will receive gift bags. Our registration cap this year is set at 500 we are seeking sponsorship and donation support as community needs increase, as we continue to serve more families, and as we work to expand the effort so that it includes winter clothing items for kids.

In 2024, the MGM Toyz-In-Da-Hood family Christmas outreach marks 22 years of service to low income and under served families in Northwest Denver, Southwest Denver and Denver's Westwood areas. This is their mission and the organization is one of the oldest community based, all volunteer 501c3 non profit efforts of it's kind in Denver.

THE TIMES ARE CALLING FOR A "NEXT LEVEL" EFFORT

The Colorado Biker and Custom Car communities are a proven community asset and force for good. Their track record of community service to families, special community needs, and under served children is unequalled at the community level. These long time friends have been a big part of the 22 year Toyz-In-Da-Hood history - they helped establish and build it as a community tradition.

MGM Toyz-N-Da-Hood is a 501c3 Nonprofit. All proceeds from fundraising events held for the annual Christmas effort are applied towards purchasing toys and any materials needed for our annual community outreach efforts.

We will be working with the Marines Toys-For-Tots to distribute toys at the Father's Heart Event as well as to make toys available to the Rocky Ford Fire Department team and family agencies in the Rocky Ford and La Junta Area.

2024 marks La Familia Ministry Denver's 12th year of conducting the "Father's Heart - Nellie's Kids" Christmas family outreach in Denver, CO and our 9th year of partnership with Cardenas Ministries in supporting their "Parade of Toys" Christmas outreach to families at five low income housing locations in the cities of Brighton and Commerce City. (1,200 kids in 2023)

The Father's Heart Project is comprised of several Christmas family outreach events either initiated by La Familia Ministry Denver or are collaborative efforts in support of other community organization's and ministry's projects. Combined, we are a collaborative support network with a history of support and collaboration over 12-years.

A Detailed Network Overview

Working and networking together in this way produces efficiency, engages and empowers members of various communities, and shows grass roots effectiveness for families. La Familia provides organizational support for the majority of them and partnered at some level with all of them.

Lastly, in 2024, we are blessed to come along side and support the "MGM Toyz In Da Hood" effort that serves the Southwest Denver and Westwood areas of Denver. This is one of the oldest grass roots kids Christmas outreaches in Denver, going back more than twenty years. They are self contained and receive strong support from Denver's biker community. These three organizational efforts serviced 1,000 kids in 2023 while the overall combined outreach efforts of this "Network" of ministries and organizations were able to service approximately 3,000 kids in 2023.

During those 12 years, we were also blessed to help initiate and establish the "Father's Heart Rocky Ford" family outreach in the Southeastern Colorado Arkansas Valley area with the support of Pueblo Toys-For-Tots. This is a La Familia Ministries collaborative community effort led by Rocky Ford resident Mary Jo Aragon, a team of volunteers, and community partners in the Rocky Ford and La Junta areas. The effort is now in it's 4th year and serves the cities of Rocky Ford, La Junta, Fowler, Manzanola, and Las Animas, Colorado. (600 kids in 2023)

As these outreach efforts and community needs continue to grow and serve more families and kids and as we look to expand to include grocery boxes and winter clothing items in some cities in 2024, we are seeking sponsorship and community partners for each event to include materials and financial donations support as well as event volunteer support These events are listed individually below and each has downloadable overviews, sponsor letters, donation details, and volunteer opportunities for each event and city.

Please note that material and financial donations will be arranged directly between the donor and leadership of each event The process is clarified in the sponsor, community partner, and volunteer info given for each event below.

Due to difficulties we are having this year in securing needed toys, we sadly regret that we will not be doing toy distribution at the Denver "Father's Heart - Nellie's Kids" event. However we will still hold the event as a kid's community Christmas party. Family's must still register kids for the event to insure we have food for everyone and that we stay within the capacity of the venue. We will resume toy distribution in 2025. Details for the Christmas party are listed below.

The Cardenas Ministries Spirit of Giving "Parade of Toys" project is a community Christmas outreach that has been providing Christmas toys and other provisional materials to families at affordable housing developments in Brighton and Commerce City, Colorado since 2017. They are now serving five facilities and over 1,000 children annually. The effort was founded by the Cardenas family matriarch Ms. Gloria Estrada and her daughter Valerie and is a family directed ministry.

New Hope In Christ Church has been serving the Denver Community for 30 years. They are a five fold ministry and missions church with four satellite church ministries in the greater Denver area and others around the world. The NHIC "Spirit of Giving" Christmas outreach is now entering it's 3rd year and does toy and materials distribution through five churches in and around Denver.

The mission of Hope for Tomorrow is to reach out and serve Gods children who for whatever reason are having a difficult time in life. Not judging but showing the love of Jesus! We are here to provide a hot meal, snacks, staples and most of all friendship. We provide resources and will do so with respect, kindness and love. Sharing with our friends that there is a Hope 4 Tomorrow!! We strive to introduce people to Jesus, this is our main goal and everything else we do is a stepping stone to this end! We are not a church but a group of people from different churches and denominations who believe in Jesus and love people.. We have many outreaches during the year, our major ones focus on Thanksgiving and getting children Christmas gifts through Toys for Tots.
